Figure ID please

Hi Chaps,

I have just started to paint after the move, just random figures from an ancient pile but one figure is a puzzle. Could anyone please ID the creepy guy in the gown, I am pretty sure that he is GW but alas I probably had hair when I bought him!

No matter what you may think of their prices GW are quality, I would even pay their asking price if only they would start selling Space Hulk again! I still have the first 40K ruleset and a few other versions...but unless I win the lottery I will not be building any armies.

Its good to be back, three weeks waiting to get an engineer to fit a phone line! Lots to catch up on now, I am so happy.

Leyland...and Centurian tanks

I have recently moved back "home" well back to Lancashire where I spent my youth, it is good to be home. Driving down one of the (new to me) by passes I had to do a double take because plopped by the roadside is a Centurian tank!

Within minutes my son was looking around this still impressive vehicle placed as a monument and reminder to the people who produced them in Leyland back in the day. Confirmation that this is indeed a cool town!

Never moving house again!

Hi Chaps,

I have just got back online after moving home...never again...so much junk! Over the next few weeks I hope to catch up on all your blogs and sort my own paint station out. Plastic 28mm are an option now as I actually have a model shop in the next town-Trains and Transport of Preston. This weekend will be my first visit, I will buy something as I already have a new can of primer waiting! (hows that for logic?).

Moving House

Hi Chaps,

Just a quick note to say that I am moving house soon...what a pain... When this is complete I hope to be back up and running with one post per week minimum. Also I will catch up on posting out the odd parcel or two, sorry about the delay but this move although anticipated came far quicker than I thought it would.

Good luck to you all, I enjoy reading about your exploits but I will be going cold turkey until my internet connection is up and running.

A few pics

Hi All,

I was digging around my collection earlier today so I thought that I would take a few pictures of my older stuff. The 40K figures (there are 20 or so of them) were a gift from my wife so they are at least 7 or 8 years old! The mercenaries are fairly recent, I did take some dwarf pics but they are blurred...I have two Hordes of the things armies that have never been completed...this must sound familiar?

Over the next few weeks I am going to invest in some new brushes...any tips would be helpful because I usually use GW...does anyone use anything cheaper?

So far this year not one game despite my best intentions! I did look at buying some Essex 15mm so my boy and I could have a quick DBA game...£3.30 a pack of 8! God help them...28mm plastic is SO much more attractive now!! We have alexandrian but I will hold off until there are Indian figures available.

The reason for lost contact...

I thought I would explain why I sometimes do not blog. In 2008 my wife Nittaya died in labour and our son Chester died a day later.There is an ongoing police investigation, ongoing civil action and god knows how many government bodies looking into the event and the background leading up to it.

It has taken me a while to share this with you all but when things get busy I lose time (and contact) with the wargaming world and so I thought you should know why. There are some links where you can read what happened but really its heavy going and I would not recommend it.
