Workstation.

Hi Chaps,

Just a quick update because as yet no figures have arrived-infact no postman at all yesterday! Regularly now we miss a day of post due to a shortage of staff/bad management/alignment of the planets-universal service has already gone it seems!

Well rant about the postal service over I decided to fiddle about with my work station (that should really be playstation) to create more room and just make my life easier. The models on the shelves just happen to be the latest ones that need a little more attention in the form of air con units and satellite dishes then they will disappear into the cupboard.

Books everywhere! I like to read but then cannot part with a decent book but a cull will have to take place which will be a dramatic experience, I am sure that you Chaps face a similar dilemma? Indeed today some of my earlier buildings will be broken up to create some space...for more buildings. Also a 3 foot square board should make an appearance for a lick of paint, it is surprising what jobs one can find when one's figures are in transit.

Keep blogging Chaps I am going stir crazy and need to see what you have been painting.

  1. I have to say I am rather taken with your work station, very smart indeed and beats my corner of the dining room table hands down!

    1. Thanks Michael, it is my sanity corner. The only downside is I have little or no space for storing painted figures

  2. I often forget just how lucky I am, in that my postman is a great guy. Built like a proverbial s### house wearing shorts all year round, he is very reliable.Mind I always tip him at Christmas because of his great service. Anyway boast over. Good paint station, except I would need more light simply because of my eyesight.

    1. You are lucky to have a good postie Robbie, I think that their job is now farmed out into part time roles so no one (here at least) seems to care about the mail anymore.

  3. Your workspace is far neater than mine!

    1. Thanks AJ....after a painting session it looks crowded and awful...but then I think what if the RSM saw this! ...and then fear makes me clean it up despite not being in the army for over a decade.

  4. Brilliant! Great work/play station! I love it when these things look like they see some use, with lots of works in progress and general hobby "clutter".
And I know what you mean about the books! I moved house a month and a half ago and stiff have about 3 dozen boxes of books to unpack.
I do have a few bookcases with glass front doors, but those are used for storage/display of minis.

    1. Hi Fitz, it is good to hear that other people like yourself collect too many books! I was starting to think I had a book "problem"!
Your bookcase idea is a good one for minis and I may try to find an old one myself to fill with figures.

  5. There's no such thing as "too many books" - there is such a thing as not enough bookcases. :)
(what I probably need is access to L-space) ;)

    1. Haha your right of course but I have run out of space, it is almost physically painful parting with some books.
