Frostgrave thugs and an Elf

Hi Chaps,

Just a quick update-I am trying to mop up any odd figures before my move so this selection got a coat of paint. The Elf is a Reaper mini and sadly not one of their better castings. Too much tiny detail and a messy figure to do anything with unfortunately. The thugs will always find a role and they were much easier to paint....

Sometime after my house move I hope to start a new project and already many hours of "research" have been spent wandering around various manufacturers websites.....I cannot be alone in thinking that this is a golden age for the miniature gamer? So far the North West Frontier is looking very attractive, how do you Chaps pick a new project? Does it start with a film, book or figure range?

Keep blogging guys I need your information and inspiration.

  2. Film but usually book.. don't think any figure range has started a project but once a project is chosen a range can decide the scale...

    1. I think it is usually a book for me as well Steve though my eyesight dictates 28mm

    2. The AWI project originally started years (and years) ago as a result of a book, declined, got sold off, and then resurfaced 20 years later as a result of "The Patriot"!

  3. I like the look of the thugs , very useful. Both books and films have started off shoots and diversions and I'm also a sucker for the next big thing and can get swept along by an enthusiastic crowd.

    1. I do understand getting swept along by what is opular...The Men Who Would be Kings may be the next big thing that I go along with

    2. The Men that would be Kings is definitely on the radar, not surprising given my love of all things Victorian, but Congo is proving the real temptation at present - I'm doomed!
